Learning at Work Week: Power Up Your Learning

Energizing a lifelong learning culture through connection, curiosity, and collaboration

๐Ÿ“š 3.6K hub visits | ๐ŸŒ 500+ attendees | ๐ŸŽค 10+ external experts | ๐Ÿ’ฌ 375 recognition moments | ๐Ÿ”— Learning, wellbeing, and strategy connected at every level

๐Ÿ” The Challenge: Great Tools, Low Engagement

Despite offering strong tools and platforms, learning and development werenโ€™t landing consistently across regions.

Employee awareness of L&D initiatives was low, and learning often felt disconnected from day-to-day work or strategic goals like Boosting Our Skills. The culture around learning was fragmented, with some teams thriving while others lacked visibility, access, or support.

To grow our people, we needed to grow their connection to learning, and build excitement around what was possible.

The challenge: Make learning feel like a superpower โ€” and make it accessible to all.

๐Ÿ“Œ Background: Launching a Global Moment of Learning

In May 2024, Reward Gateway | Edenred celebrated National Learning at Work Week (NLAWW) for the first time, embracing the Campaign for Learningโ€™s theme: Learning Power.

I led the internal communication and engagement campaign, aligning the initiative with our EVP, People Strategy, and global upskilling effort.

We designed a week that celebrated learning as a career advantage, a wellbeing benefit, and a culture-builder, turning everyday curiosity into a shared experience.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ My Role: Strategy, Messaging & Multi-Channel Activation

I worked cross-functionally with our Learning & Performance team to create a hybrid learning experience โ€” one that reached every region and reflected the diversity of how people learn.

Key initiatives included:

Strategic Narrative & Program Design

  • Championed the Power Up Your Learning theme to tie learning to performance, growth, and wellbeing

  • Positioned learning as a personal advantage, not just a company offering

  • Built a flexible hybrid program with online sessions and in-person events across all four GEOs

Schedule of Events

  • Captured qualitative feedback through surveys and post-week comments

  • Used insights to refine ongoing L&D communications and programming

๐Ÿ’ฅ The Results: Learning That Sparked Culture

The campaign energized learning across levels โ€” and across continents.

  • ๐Ÿง  500+ employees attended live sessions globally

  • ๐Ÿ’ป 3,653 visits to the Learning Hub during the week

  • ๐Ÿ“ฅ 500+ blog views, with an additional 532 reads of the Learning with Leaders series

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ 350+ comments and reactions across platforms

  • ๐Ÿ† 375 recognition moments shared to celebrate learning behaviors

  • ๐ŸŒ 10+ external speakers and partners engaged across four regions

  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ Improved visibility of our Learning & Performance strategy and tools company-wide

โค๏ธ Why It Matters

Learning isnโ€™t a one-time event โ€” itโ€™s a lifelong advantage.

By making learning fun, inclusive, and easy to access, Power Up Your Learning brought new energy to our culture of growth. It helped employees see L&D not as another task, but as an opportunity to explore, grow, and thrive together.

This was more than a week of sessions. It was the start of something sustainable.
