🔍 The Challenge: Wellbeing Support Felt Out of Reach

Mental health was always a priority in principle, but in practice, support was inconsistent.

Globally, employees struggled to find the right resources at the right time. There was no centralized, proactive solution — and what was available wasn’t always accessible, inclusive, or visible. Managers weren’t sure how to support their teams, and employees weren’t confident they had somewhere to turn.

Leaders recognized a clear gap:

We needed a solution that moved mental health from a passive benefit to an active part of our culture — something people could trust, use, and feel supported by.

📌 Background: Turning Strategy Into Action

As part of our HEART wellbeing strategy at Reward Gateway | Edenred, we committed to elevating mental health across the organization. We needed more than a message — we needed a meaningful tool employees could use, no matter where they were or what they were facing.

That’s where Unmind came in: a science-backed, digital platform for mental wellbeing. We launched it with a purpose-driven campaign, Love Your Mind, designed to reduce stigma and make mental health feel personal. By launching on Valentine’s Day, we framed it as an act of self-care — something we all deserve.

🛠️ My Role: Messaging, Momentum & Mindset Shift

As the communications and engagement lead, I developed and delivered the full launch strategy — from internal messaging to long-term engagement. Our goal was simple: make Unmind feel personal, not just practical.

Here’s how we brought it to life:

Campaign & Creative

  • Created Love Your Mind, a Valentine’s Day-themed campaign to reduce stigma and inspire care

  • Designed custom eValentines so employees could send messages of appreciation, empathy, and support

Education & Enablement

  • Built a centralized Unmind hub on our engagement hub with how-tos, FAQs, and real-life stories

  • Developed tailored manager toolkits to build confidence in supporting mental wellbeing

Platform Awareness

  • Shared daily spotlights on Unmind features like Talk (therapy & coaching), Elevate (resilience), and Managers (leadership support)

  • Highlighted employee testimonials to show real-world impact and encourage adoption

Measurement & Momentum

  • Tracked anonymous usage and feedback through Unmind Insights

  • Integrated Unmind into key cultural moments like the HEART Virtual Roadshow and Thank You Festival

  • Promoted the platform across our Wellbeing+ app and global wellbeing centers

💥 The Results: A Culture Shift, Not Just a Launch

The numbers speak for themselves — and so do the stories.

  • 🧠 55% of employees adopted the platform within the first 3 months

  • 💬 72% utilization of Unmind Talk for therapy and coaching

  • 💸 $190,000 invested in wellbeing programs through the campaign

  • 📉 Attrition stayed below 10%, saving an estimated $2.3M in turnover costs

❤️ Why It Matters

This wasn’t just a platform rollout. It was a message: You matter. Your mental health matters. And you don’t have to go it alone.

By pairing strategy with storytelling, we created an environment where people felt safe to ask for help — and empowered to take care of themselves. Love Your Mind didn’t just spark conversations — it helped redefine how we support mental wellbeing at work.

And that shift? It’s still growing, one moment of care at a time.
